What's the market value of a likely Gore endorsement? Plenty.
The participants at the Iowa Electronic Markets just pushed the last trade of Dean contracts to 0.725. (That means it takes 72.5 cents to buy a contract that pays 1 dollar if Dean gets the nomination and 0 dollars otherwise.) That's up over 10 cents since yesterday's (Sunday's) closing price.
Over at Tradesports.com, Dean contracts are up to 67 cents, a full 9 cents above the opening price of 58 today.
Finally, I'm not sure when they did it, but British bookmaker
William Hill pulled its Dean sheet. That would have been done either because of low betting interest or more likely because no one was taking the other side of that bet, so they couldn't make odds.
